My present state – what is happening now? (part 2)

Now you have the theme, it is something you long for, and you are ready to realize in your life. The next step is to look at the situation objectively, see the present state and face it even if that is hard.

You are lacking something – a healthy body, a work that you love, good relationship with your parent / partner / child / friend, a stable financial status – help me, what else? Somehow this is not present in your life for whatever reason. We need not look at the reasons and the past, rather look at the facts. What is happening now?

Here are some samples from my life:

I use present tense sentences, and give a description of a situation I would like to change. Of course, do elaborate and do not stop with one sentence! Try to write down your thoughts, emotions attached to the situation. But stay at the moment and only write about yourself and not about other people involved. You only have the capacity to change yourself, so let’s keep out the others.

To make sure and to check whether this is your own situation or not, ask: is there anything I can do to change that? Can I influence it? If the answer is yes, then move on. If the answer is no, then you need to find a situation in which you play the main role.

The end of this work is to find your goal. You have looked at what is happening now, probably you have written negative feelings, a shortage of some sort, or a dream yet to be fulfilled. Now formulate your goal that would overcome this situation. The goal is a simple sentence that gives a recipe for your situation. The goal “feels right”, when you think about fulfilling it, you feel contentment.

Wow, you have come a long way, take a break and congratulate yourself! You put into writing, you formulated the words of the echo inside yourself that you have listened to for a long time.
